What is the history of the Ukrainian keyboard?

The Ukrainian keyboard belongs to the Cyrillic keyboard family and is visually related to the Russian JCUKEN, but it is adapted to the Ukrainian alphabet. As a result, several keys carry different letters from their Russian equivalents.
